Bassist, Bobby Simons, cites the music of the British Invasion (particularly KINKS and BEATLES) as his earliest musical inspiration. Paul McCartney, Rick Danko, Donald "Duck" Dunn, and Colin Moulding (XTC), were influential in his decision to take up playing bass. His own compositions have been influenced by the works of Neil Finn, Jeff Lynne, Brian Wilson, Elvis Costello and countless power-pop "3 minute miracles".

In the mid 90's, Bobby's ALT/POP band FINGERJAYS signed with Chicago's indie Widely Distributed label. FINGERJAYS appeared on Widely's compilation CD, 'Rehearsal for Retirement'.

After leaving FINGERJAYS, he has spent much of his free time composing and recording solo projects.

Bobby met Heavier Things frontman, Geoff Siebold, thru a mutual acquaintance, and they performed together for the first time in 2005.

Bobby can also be found playing bass and singing in the Alternative/Pop cover band, 'Filthy Mittens'
