Guitarist and Lead Vocalist, Geoff Siebold, is a singer songwriter that has been playing in Chicago and across the country for the past 15 years. His influences include, but certainly are not limited to: Nuno Bettencourt, Jeff Buckley, U2, Steve Vai, Wilco, Keith Urban, Dream Theatre and obviously John Mayer. Geoff has played in previous Chicago bands Wishing Well, Souls For Rent, and Machines Gone Mad. He is currently also playing with According to Andrew, Pen15 and The Afrodesiacs.
Geoff was looking for a chance to play with some new musicians and find a way to showcase some of his own original material. Heavier Things has turned out to be the vehicle that has enabled him to introduce his own material and explore both the "pop" side and gritty blues of one of the most influential players of this generation, John Mayer. "Learning all of Mayer's material was one of the toughest and yet most rewarding tasks I have put myself through. I have learned to use different chord voicings and develop blues chops that have made me a better all around player. In addition, playing with Bobby and Greg has been one of the most exciting musical interactions I've ever been a part of."
